Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, October 24, 2015 – After being appointed as a new superior of the Province of Vietnam by the Rector Major Fr Ángel Fernández Artime in the beginning of this year and installed as provincial last May Fr. Joseph Nguyen Van Quang, SDB makes his first canonical visitation in Mongolia.
Upon his arrival on October 20 he was warmly received by the Salesians who are working in Ulaanbaatar. He spent a week getting to know about Monglian mission and its adventures. The first two days he spent in Don Bosco UB community.
With his various talks, homilies and conferences, he inspired the community, the students and the staff. He encouraged and strongly recommended the students to prepare now to face the new future. Addressing to the Salesians he advised saying that ‘we are all servants of the young, we have to be always at their service, whole ambience should be Christianized by our way of life, instilling in the people Christian heart. We have to be signs and testimony of the fraternal love in the mission and in the community. His key message was evangelization in education is very essential for a missionary.
After his visit in DB Ulaanbaatar community he went to Don Bosco Darkhan. He addressed over there the Christian faithful, the working staff and the teachers, the parish youth and FMAs as well.
He concluded his visitation on October 24 evening. We express our heartfelt gratitude for manifesting his love for Mongolia and for his continuous support and encouragement to fulfill the dream of Don Bosco in the mission land of Mongolia.
