Archbishop Thomas Menamparampil preaches retreat to all the missionaries in the land of the Blue

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, November 5, 2015 – On November 3, Archbishop Thomas Menamparampil, SDB from Guwahati, India, arrived Ulaanbaatar to give two days retreat to all the missionaries working in different parts of Mongolia. After his retirement as an Archbishop of Guwahati in 2012 he has been working as an apostolic administrator of Johwai, India. At the same time he is travelling around the world addressing and animating various religious groups, congregations, dioceses, universities, etc. He is well- known for inter-religious dialogue.

The retreat began at 3 pm on November on in the prefecture. There were around 50 participants in the retreat. He spoke extensively elaborating on the topic ‘Mystics and prophets’ on the Asian continent. On the second day he spoke about ‘Asian spirituality’, learning from each other and making ancient values relevant, and Bro. Roger and Asian Spirituality- ‘A search for deeper meanings’.

He was highly appreciated by the missionaries. He is a man with depth and he spoke in depth. The retreat- recollection ended on November 4 with the Mass and then lunch. In the evening, on the same day all the salesians gathered around him to listen to his wisdom and experience.

We are grateful to him for having given us a wonderful God experience through his various talks and encounters.
