Care center in Ulaanbaatar
Don Bosco caring center was established in the year 2003 to assist and to care for the poor and abandoned children of the city of Ulaanbaatar. The DBCC is located in the outskirts of Ulaanbaatar city.
In the beginning the caring center was situated out of the city. The first house caught fire 6 years ago. Then, they were brought to the present building. Since then they did not have proper house. At last this year with the help of one of the organizations in Germany, we are able to construct a new building. New building should be ready by the end of August.
From the beginning it has been sustained and supported by Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB). In the beginning stages it took care of around 30 to 40 children age 8 to 20 but later the number was reduced to 15 to 20 for various reasons. Since 2003, there are 25 graduated children who have already been settled well in the society. The building where the children are staying at present is a part of the Don Bosco school building. At the moment, care center has total 14 children age 11 to 17.
