DON BOSCO in Mongolia

Joy despite the rain

camp 2022

The first summer camp since the pandemic was held in Shuwuu last weekend (12-14/8/2022). 3 days of fun, prayer and, above all, joy and laughter. More than 40 people took part in the camp, divided into 3 groups. It’s amazing how little time it took to tune in and get started. Each group prepared its own song, theatrical performance and a selected Gospel scene.

The camp was prepared by teachers and a little help from Polish volunteers. Even though it was raining most of the time, everyone was happy. Every day we were able to participate in the Holy Mass and pray together, which is the most important during this type of camp.

Besides, we could have breakfast, lunch and dinner together every day, which is amazing because unfortunately not all children can eat that many meals, because not all parents have that much money.

Our Polish volunteers prepared a presentation about their country and volunteering, and shared their testimony of faith. I am very happy that I was able to participate in this beautiful Salesian work.
